What is it?

What does it do?

Beta Glucan activates the immune response selectively where it starts, at the macrophage. Beta-1,3/1,6-D-Glucan is a carbohydrate purified? from common baker?s yeast. Since it is a pure carbohydrate, it contains no yeast proteins that could cause allergic reactions.? Beta Glucan can be taken and may be useful in conjunction with chemotherapy, antibiotic therapy, or radiotherapy.

Calcium Ascorbate is derived from corn and is a non-acidic form of Vitamin C, an essential component of phagocytising cells such as macrophages. A decrease in ascorbate content can be observed in macrophages upon stimulation of their phagocytic? function with Beta-1,3/1,6-D-Glucan. This loss may result in decreased motility and impaired ability of macrophages to produce certain important substances necessary for successful immune system function.
